Five candidates to contest Badenoch and Strathspey seat at Westminster

Five candidates have been confirmed to contest the Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey seat at Westminster.

They are Donald MacLeod Boyd (Scottish Christian Party "Proclaiming Christ’s Lordship"); Ritchie Cunningham (Scottish Liberal Democrats); Drew Hendry (SNP); Mike Robb (Scottish Labour Party) and Nicholas Tulloch (Scottish Conservative and Unionist).

In total 15 candidates are seeking election on Thursday 8 June for the three Highland UK parliamentary General Election constituencies.

Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross constituency has attracted four candidates; and Ross, Skye and Lochaber constituency has six candidates.

The SNP held all three mainland Highland seats following the General Election in 2015 before the dissolution of parliament last week.
